Today I take my unbuilt camper van to visit Sparks Lake and Todd Lake, 25 miles west of Bend, Oregon, along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway. I get started early in the morning – well before the sun had burned off the morning mist. After having wrenched my back a week ago, I’ve been feeling antsy to get outside. Here’s how it went.
I also had a lovely conversation (and van tour!) with @CaitlinPyle who was there to kayak. Only later when I looked up her channel, did I realize she was a millionaire van lifer – she was so down to earth that I’d never have guessed this. If millionaires must be a thing, may they all be more like Caitlin.
